My Name is Emma

Last weekend my parents stayed the night and Dad was playing upstairs with Emma Claire and he asked her in Spanish what her name is and she replied, Emma.  We thought it might have been a fluke, but we kept asking her over and over again and she kept saying 'Emma'.  So I caught her on video last night before we went to bed so I had actual documentation.

She is one smart cookie for sure and I guess some of the Spanish she learns at WEE school is sinking in.

Birthday Celebrations

We tend to not do huge birthday extravaganzas around here so I made a big batch of homemade vegetable beef soup and sandwiches, ordered cupcakes from The Cupcake Collection and of course Emma Claire had her own container of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, her fave!

We ate lunch and let Emma Claire open up her presents.  She loved just opening the cards the best, they were Minnie Mouse and played music, double bonus!

Since her birthday fell on Thursday and she goes to WEE school, we sent individual ice cream cups with her to school and little treat presents for her to pass out to her friends.  I think they all enjoyed themselves, don't you think?

Spunky 3 Year Old

I cannot believe Emma Claire is now 3!  She is such a wonderful, spunky, sometimes sassy (like her Daddy), loving, happy three year old.  I love the times when she wants to snuggle and read books and seeing her independence on wanting to try to do things by herself.  Even during the times she is testing Mommy and Daddy she brings us great joy are we are blessed to be her parents.  We did not expect to have a winter baby, but it was in God's hands and plan and we continue to rejoice in Him.

New Year's Eve

Since Matt had to work on New Year's Eve, we loaded up and headed down to my parents house.  Matt was going to stay the night there since he was going to work in the morning New Years Day and then be back to our house.  We took advantage and had a wonderful time going to dinner with Mom and Dad and then playing at the house waiting on Daddy to get there at 11 PM.

Emma Claire was so excited, she rang in the new year laughing!!! We just love this precious, wild, spunky, sassy and loving nearly 3 year old!!!

Happy New Year from the Warrens!!! We hope everyone had a wonderful 2012 and look forward to more to come in 2013.

December Catch Up

We started off December by going to see the Rockettes and Emma Claire loved every minute of the nearly two hour show!
The next week Emma Claire had her WEE school Christmas Party and she loved it!  I love seeing her interact with the kids in her class.  She loves going and would probably go every day if they would let her and we love her teacher Ms. Gina!  They did a $5 book exchange and all of the little ones were so excited to get their books.
Emma Claire was wanting to 'read' her book to me

We ended that week with our children's Christmas Program at church.  I didn't get any pictures of Emma Claire singing and ringing her bells, but let me tell you, she would have made the Salvation Army happy!
Santa visited all the kids and 'big' kids after our Christmas program and Emma Claire was one excited little girl this year.

Christmas Eve we spend with my parents.  After waking up and having her breakfast of champions, Cheerios, we were off to my parents to lounge around (hence the PJs) and then dinner, church and our family Christmas celebrations.

This year was a blast and Christmas morning, she was so excited to see her art easel from Santa.

After our Christmas morning celebrations, we then headed over to Matt's parents house for our Christmas brunch and fun.

We then rested and ate dinner at Matt's grandmother's house and once again, we were so blessed to have another wonderful Christmas season with our family and friends!
