Quick Update

Today is another victorious day! Emma had an ECHO yesterday to check her PDA and it is still open, so they are going to start her on another round of Neoprofen to close it. We believe that God will close this PDA and she will not need the surgery. They did a another sputum culture and it did not grow anything, which is AWESOME! Emma continues to only get back to 10 cc every three hours and caffiene once a day. They continue to limit her fluid intake until the PDA closes up and then they will be able to increase her feedings again. She is now getting 28 calorie breast milk/formula.
This is day two of our new schedule and it seems to be working much better. I am able to be with Boomer (our dog) at our house and get in a better routine which includes more rest. I call in the mornings and check in on our sweet pea to see how she is doing and then we get another report when we get there in the afternoons. Please continue to pray this will work for us and help me to continue to rest which should increase my milk supply.
God continues to show us his healing power. He has healed her chest infection and we believe he will heal her PDA and move forward to get Emma Claire off of the ventilator. What a mighty God we serve!!
Jeremiah 29:11~~For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans for a hope and a future~~

  1. Hello, I know this is going to sound weird but my dad works with your husband and has been telling me about Emma whenever he gets updates and today gave me this site so I could follow her myself. I had my little girl on the 17th also. I have noticed that you are having trouble with your milk supply. I am having the opposite problem, I am pumping more than I have room to store. I was looking into donating to a milk bank but if I could help you and Emma then I would love to. I am willing to go through any tests that are required by the hospital. I know this is a very off the wall message but while reading your posts God laid it on my heart to offer my help to you and Emma. If you are interested email me (xrayeyes07@hotmail.com) and I can give you my phone number and we can talk more or meet. You are in my prayers every day, I can't imagine what you are going through. If there is any way I can help please let me know.

  2. I so love these updates you post for us Emily! I am reading Bill Habels book "Too Busy Not to Pray" and find myself CONTINUALLY asking God how little Emma is doing, knowing he is taking such good care of her! How 'bout this one for a visual: I constantly remind God (as if He needs that!) to give Emma extra hugs and kisses, since He is the only one who can do that right now. What an amazing image: your little jewel being cradled in God's arms while he soothes her and lets her know how much He loves her!

  3. I told our Emma Claire, 6, about your Emma Claire and asked her to say some special
    prayers for her.

I keep talking to your Emma and telling her to keep fighting.

If you need anything, please let us know.
